If you are looking for a group class we offer a variety of options from our beginners ‘Learn Golf in a Month’ class to roll up classes, improvers classes and a hugely popular junior programme. We also run at certain times some signature 1 day schools that focus on specific aspects of the game, such as putting and short game. For those looking for individual coaching, we will take the time build a plan with you to help you meet your goals. We look forward to meeting you and working with you on your game!

STEVEN ORR
Steven has been a full-time coach at Rustington Golf Centre for over 20 years. He is the youngest ever recipient of the prestigious PGA Master Professional title and was named England Golf Coach of the Year in 2016. He is also nearing completion of a Professional Doctorate in Elite Performance.
Renowned for his evidence-based approach, Steven is one of the few coaches who actively conducts his own research in the field. His work has been published in leading academic journals, further reinforcing his reputation as a thought leader in golf coaching.

RUSSELL EVANS
Russell is the Senior Coach at the Steven Orr Golf Academy. An Advanced Fellow PGA Professional with a Master’s degree in Sports Coaching, he brings over 18 years of full-time coaching experience to his role.
He is highly skilled in developing every facet of a player’s game, with a clear focus on helping golfers build their skills, improve performance, and lower their scores. His current coaching interests include Skill Acquisition, Putting and 3D Biomechanics of the Golf Swing.
Outside the academy, Russell is the England Golf Regional Coach for the South East Under-18 Boys, Sussex Boys’ Under-16 Coach, and a Sussex Men’s First Team Coach.

JAKE DUNSTAN
Jake started playing golf when he was 11 and quickly fell in love with the game. After a degree at University, he turned professional in 2016 and has been coaching ever since. His philosophy remains simple–use tried and tested coaching methods to draw out the natural ability in everyone. Jake believes that the first exposure to golf is very important and he enjoys taking pupils through the initial stages of learning, from complete novice to becoming course ready. He has also had success in coaching the club–level golfer.

WILL BUTTERFIELD
I have been qualified since 2019 and have had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of players.I have worked with juniors and adults who have never played before through to some young professionals just starting out in their playing careers. With all these people my main focus is to ensure all my clients enjoy the process of learning and to help them get the most out of their games.I enjoy teaching all aspects of the game but my favourite is on course lessons. I feel you get the best understanding of a player when observing them play and it really helps to understand a players habits.This then allows us to make informed decisions on where to focus our time and plan for future sessions

Harrison
Harrison runs the junior programme here at the academy. Originally from Wales, Harrison got into the game through his older brother who was a PGA professional and started playing from a young age before embarking on the PGA qualification where his passion for coaching blossomed.
Harrison is a dedicated golf coach with a passion for player development and a systematic approach to improving performance and lowering scores. A strong believer in continuous growth, Harrison is always learning and refining his coaching skillset to stay current with modern techniques and technologies.
Whether working with juniors, beginners or competitive players, Harrison creates a positive learning environment that helps every golfer reach their full potential.
